damn, I haven't updated this thing in like 2 months. wghoops...

+ I go back to CCSU on the 24th (in 11 days). On one hand Im excited, but thats because I'm sooo bored just sitting around the house while everyone else is back to school, but on the other hand I'm dreading having to go back to my sucky room and my annoying roommate. my friend Sam is amazing and she has to find another couple of suitemates since she's loosing like 4 people from her 6 person suite. I would kill to switch into her suite for the coming semester, but it doesn't look like thats going to happen.

+ Work at Target has been pretty good. Its really annoying to have to drive 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back, but once I get there and start working its not too bad. With the exception of a few stressful incidents, its a pretty fun place to work.

+ I'm currently saving my money for my upcoming trip to Nashville in June. My cousin Danielle is my age and she lives down there along with my aunt and uncle. They've come and visited us in CT a bunch of times, but I haven't been down there to visit them in 10 years. Anyway, My aunt Linda is going to Nashville in June for the CMA music festival. My aunt Patti, my uncle Charlie, and my cousin Samantha are all going to meet up with them down there and I'm coming too. I just have to continue saving my money so i can afford plane fare, festival tickets, and of course other fun expenses. plus, if I'm going to the country music festival, I feel obligated to wear cowboy boots, which i need to buy. haha. The festival sounds awesome. Taylor Swift, Kellie Pickler, Reba McIntire, Lady Antebellum, Julianne Hough, Kid Rock, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, etc. Plus, the chance to MEET all these amazing artists? Im stoked.

+ Another trip I have to look forward to this summer is our crazy family road trip to Oklahoma and Arkansas. And this isn't just you're regular old road trip to the middle of nowhere, we're doing it in true white-trash fashion. Tell me this doesn't sound like a movie plot: dysfunctional family of 4 pile into the pick-up truck with the, wait for it, pop up RV hitched to the back and set off for Arkansas and Oklahoma to see long lost relatives. The teenage daughter can think of a million things she'd rather do than stay cooped up in a car with her corny family and no wifi, but as long as they make a pit stop in St. Louis on the way home so she can see her friend Britton and go to his band's concert, she'll manage. In the end she gets a lot out of the quality time with her family, and also meets a hot boy in Arkansas. haha.

+ Speaking of boys, I've learned my lesson. I'm taking a cue from all the celebrities and deciding not to tell too many people whats going on in my love life. for the past few months or so i've made the mistake of telling a billion people about certain boys, and then it makes it harder when things dont work out or something. If anything noteworthy happens, I'll let y'all know, but until then I'm keeping it all on the DL.

+umm, I guess I'll just finish this off with a few quick recommendations. Everyone should go listen to:
Whisper War (album)- The Cab, or more specifically, the songs "Vegas Skies", "I'll Run", "Take My Hand", and "Zzzzz".
White Horse (cover)- Kelly Clarkson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUTpkSKzTKI

ladybugs. EVERYWHERE.

in other news...
Life is good. Homework is pretty manageable. I have fun things to do every evening this week, like going to see The Hangover in the student center with Courtney tonight, Thursday is my intense "Hips Dont Lie" exercise class with Samantha, Friday I might be going to CRHS' homecoming game (even though i never went to one of those when I was actually in CRHS, but whatever...) and Wednesday night I'm going to see my boys Push Play in New Haven.

Speaking of Push Play, I spent last wednesday afternoon hanging out with them.
Its a long, amazing story, so click here to read it!Collapse )
I mostly typed ALLLLL that up for my own enjoyment and memory, but I wanted to share it too. :)

ok, I guess I should update this thing and talk about college, especially since I don't have class until 2 tomorrow.

College is amazing. My roommate Lauren is nice, but I don't see her that much and when I do see her we don't really talk. I made friends with this girl, Courtney, within like an hour of setting foot on campus and she's amazing. I was friends with her on facebook for like a month before school started, but we never talked. Now we hang out all the time and she introduced me to all her friends who also go to CCSU, like her roomate Katie, her "cousin" Christina, the twins Andy and Billy, and this kid Greg, who has a crush on me even though I've only seen/talked to him for like 10 minutes last night. whatever.

My classes are good. Mondays and Wednesdays are my busiest days, followed by Fridays, then Thursdays and Tuesdays. Thursdays and Tuesdays are kinda bittersweet: I only have one class and it doesn't start until 2pm, but its my Business Math class and it will be the death of me. I must be the only freshman in it, because all the other kids have already taken the prerequisite course, but I managed to get put in it solely due to my bangin SAT scores I got as a junior. ughhh, this cant be good.

ok, more later. its almost 1:30am and I no longer feel like typing...

Friday was perhaps the most stressful yet amazing day I have experienced in a loooong time. The Jonas Brothers world tour was in Boston, and since thats the closest they came to CT, Tresa and I hauled our butts to Beantown to go see them, as well as Honor Society, Jordin Sparks, the Wonder Girls, and our friends Seth, Owen, Brianna, and Mary.

So wont you flyyy with me?!Collapse )
